Hazeel Cult OSRS Quest Guide

Choose whether to help Ceril Carnillean stop the cult, or help Hazeel's followers revive their master.

Synopsis
Uncover the mystery behind the Carnillean family's missing wealth. Choose whether to help the Carnilleans reclaim what was taken, or support Hazeel's followers as they try to bring back Lord Hazeel.
Requirements
Able to defeat a level 13 cultist if choosing Ceril's route.
Items needed
None.
Recommended
Combat level 10, weight-reducing clothing, and stamina or energy potions.
Useful travel
Ardougne cloak 1–4, Ardougne Teleport, Spirit Tree to Battlefield, Fairy Ring DJP, or Captain Barnaby's ship from Rimmington or Brimhaven.
Enemy
Alomone, level 13, only if siding with Ceril.

Start: Speak to Ceril Carnillean in south-west East Ardougne.

Quest Choice

This quest has two routes:

  • Ceril route: Refuse Clivet, defeat Alomone and return the Carnillean armour.
  • Hazeel route: Help Clivet and the cult revive Hazeel.

Both routes give the same main quest reward. The route you choose changes the story and some extra items.

Ceril Route

Important: When speaking to Clivet, ask "What do you mean?" before refusing. Do not simply say he is talking rubbish, or you may not be able to get the armour from Alomone.

  1. Speak to Ceril Carnillean in his house in south-west East Ardougne and agree to help him.

  1. Leave the house, go south across the bridge, then enter the cave east of the Clock Tower.

  1. Speak to Clivet. Ask what he means, then refuse to help him.
  2. Clivet will leave on the raft. You now need to turn the sewer valves before you can reach the cult hideout.

Ceril Route Valve Checklist

Valve 1, across the bridge south of the Carnillean house — turn it right.

Valve 2, behind the Carnillean house — turn it right.

Valve 3, north of the cave — turn it left.

Valve 4, south of Ardougne Zoo's penguin cage — turn it right.

Valve 5, south-east of the fourth valve, past Brother Cedric — turn it right.

  1. Return to the cave and board the raft to reach the cult hideout.
  2. Go south and speak to Alomone. He will attack you.

 

  1. Kill Alomone and pick up the Carnillean armour.
  2. If you want to keep your own armour set, kill Alomone twice and collect two sets. When handing in the quest, drop one set before Ceril takes the other.
  3. Board the raft again and return to the Carnillean house.
  4. Speak to Butler Jones, then speak to Ceril Carnillean.
  5. Ceril will take the armour and give you 5 coins, but this is not the proper ending.
  6. Go upstairs and search the cupboard in the eastern room to find Hazeel's mark and poison.

  1. Show the evidence to Ceril to complete the quest properly.

Hazeel Route (alternative)

  1. Speak to Ceril Carnillean and agree to help him.
  2. Leave the house, go south across the bridge, then enter the cave east of the Clock Tower.
  3. Speak to Clivet and agree to help revive Hazeel.
  4. Clivet gives you poison. Go to the Carnillean house basement and use the poison on the range.
  5. Go upstairs and speak to one of the Carnilleans to learn that Scruffy, the family dog, has died.
  6. Return to Clivet in the cave. He gives you Hazeel's mark and tells you to find the cult hideout.

Hazeel Route Valve Checklist

  1. Return to the cave and board the raft to reach the cult hideout.
  2. Go south and speak to Alomone. He tells you to recover a scroll from the Carnillean house.
  3. Board the raft again and return to the Carnillean house.
  4. Speak to Butler Jones.
  5. Search the crates in the basement to receive a chest key.
  6. Go upstairs and enter the eastern room.
  7. Knock on the northern wall, then climb up.
  8. Use the chest key on the chest and take the scroll.
  9. Return to Alomone in the hideout and give him the scroll to revive Hazeel and complete the quest.

  • Hazeel's mark if you sided with Hazeel
  • Carnillean armour if you sided with Ceril and kept an extra set
