While Guthix Sleeps

Starting Point:

Speak to Juna, located at the Chasm of Tears beneath the Lumbridge swamp.

Starting Out:

Head into the Lumbridge Swamps and search for a tree which has a dark hole beneath it. This tree is located just slightly east of the Water altar. After locating the tree, climb down the dark hole found under it to enter the Lumbridge Swamp Caves.

Be sure to equip your Spiny helmet to ward off attacking Wall beasts while you are in the caves. Follow the map below as it will show the route through the swamp caves in to the Chasm of Tears. Head slightly east and climb down the rocks to find Juna at the entrance of the Tears of Guthix cave on the east side of the chasm.

 

Speak to Juna, she will explain to you about the Tears of Guthix and allow you to enter the cave for a short period of time after you tell her a story about one of your adventures. once you tell Juna a story, she will explain to you that you will need to craft a bowl out of a special rock which is found on the other side of the chasm in order to collect the tears.

Next, use your Sapphire with the unlit Bullseye lantern to create a Sapphire lantern and light it. Head to the northern side of the chasm where you will see some Light creatures. Click on a Light creature and choose the "cross the chasm" option to lure it towards you with your Sapphire lantern. The Light creature will now carry you to the other side of the chasm.

If you need to add oil to your Bullseye lantern, this can be done by taking some Swamp tar to the Chemist's west of Rimmington. Use your lantern on the Lamp Oil Stil to fill it up with oil.

 

After arriving on the other side of the chasm, mine any one of the rocks to obtain a Magic stone. Craft the Magic stone into a Stone bowl.

After the Stone bowl has been created, jump down the cliff to the east or lure a Light creature to you using the "cross the Chasm" option to return back to the other side. Return to Juna and give her your Stone bowl and you will gain access to the Tears of Guthix.

 Congratulations, quest complete!
