Help Romeo and Juliet overcome family opposition by faking her death and reuniting them in the crypt.

Varrock teleport or other quick travel to Varrock. Cadava berries can be picked on the way.

Walkthrough

Speak to Romeo in Varrock Square. He will ask you to talk to Juliet at her mansion.

Go to Juliet’s mansion (just west of the Varrock west bank). Talk to her on the upper floor balcony and receive her letter.

Return to Romeo in Varrock Square and deliver Juliet’s letter.
Talk to Father Lawrence in the chapel north-east of Varrock Square. He suggests faking Juliet’s death.

Find the Apothecary in south-western Varrock (west of the sword shop) and speak to him about the potion.

Pick cadava berries from the bushes west of the south-east Varrock mine.
Return to the Apothecary with the cadava berries to receive the cadava potion.
Give the cadava potion to Juliet. A cutscene will play showing her falling into a coma.
Return to Romeo and tell him to rescue Juliet from the crypt. He will ask you to go with him.
Accompany Romeo to the crypt. A cutscene will play, and the quest will complete.

The Rescue Plan

Important: Do not drink the cadava potion yourself — it will knock you out temporarily. The plan involves making Juliet appear dead so Romeo can “rescue” her from the crypt.

Cadava Potion: Given by the Apothecary after bringing him cadava berries. Used on Juliet to fake her death.

The Crypt: After giving Juliet the potion, tell Romeo to meet you there. The final cutscene occurs inside.

Note: The plan does not go as expected — Romeo ends up falling for Juliet’s cousin instead.

Completing the Quest

After the cutscene in the crypt, the quest will automatically complete.
You can speak to Romeo or Juliet afterwards for some humorous dialogue.

Tips

Pick the cadava berries before talking to the Apothecary to save time.
Do not drink the cadava potion — it will cause you to black out briefly.
Romeo sometimes wanders into the general store south of Varrock Square if you can’t find him.
This quest is required for Making Friends with My Arm and Defender of Varrock.
After the quest, talking to Juliet shows she is annoyed with Romeo, while he pines after her cousin Phillipa.
