Synopsis

Walkthrough
- Talk to Redbeard Frank at the northern dock in Port Sarim and agree to bring him some Karamjan rum.
- Pay a sailor 30 coins to sail to Karamja (free with Ring of charos(a)).
- Enter the bar on Karamja and buy one bottle of Karamjan rum from Zembo.
- Head north to the banana plantation and pick 10 bananas.
- Talk to Luthas in his hut east of the plantation and ask him for work.
- Use the rum on the crate outside his hut, then fill the crate with bananas.
- Speak to Luthas again to receive payment and learn that the crate is heading to Wydin in Port Sarim.
- Return to Port Sarim and take the white apron hanging in the fishing shop.
- Wear the white apron and ask Wydin for a job at the food store. Search the crate with a banana on top in the back room to recover the rum.
- Return to Redbeard Frank and hand over the Karamjan rum to receive the treasure key.
- Travel to the Blue Moon Inn in Varrock. Go upstairs and use the key on the chest to obtain the pirate message. Read it.
- Go to Falador Park. Stand on the X-shaped patch of dirt near the Saradomin statue and dig with your spade.
- Defeat or run away from the level 4 gardener that appears, then dig in the same spot again to claim the casket.
Locating the Treasure
Important: The pirate message gives a clue about the treasure's location in Falador Park. Do not teleport while carrying the Karamjan rum, or it will break.
Get a spade from the estate agency south-west of Falador Park if you do not have one.
Locate the statue of Saradomin in the centre of the park and note the direction it faces.
Find the patch of dirt that forms a rough X shape.
Stand directly in the middle of the X and dig. A gardener will appear — defeat him or leave the area to make him despawn, then dig again.
Completing the Quest
- After digging up the casket, the quest is complete.
- You may optionally speak to Redbeard Frank again if you wish.

Tips
- Never teleport or take a random event while holding the Karamjan rum — it will break.
- Make sure you have asked Luthas for a job before trying to hide the rum in the crate.
- Wear the white apron before asking Wydin for work, otherwise he will refuse.
- You can avoid fighting the gardener by simply running out of Falador Park after he appears.
- Bring a teleport to Varrock and Falador to speed up the later parts of the quest.
- The casket contains a gold ring, an emerald, and 450 coins — keep it all for yourself.
