Havenhythe Part II - Prepare for the Ghrazi Blood Knights

A quick note before we get started: This blog covers the upcoming Ghrazi Blood Knights boss which launches on Monday. We're keeping to our game update schedule, especially as we do know that there are many players looking forward to these updates. RuneScape Reignited remains as a separate topic that we are still looking to speak to today.

On 12th October, the final battle for Havenhythe begins!

The Ghrazi Blood Knights have crossed into Gielinor, and after everything that has unfolded across Havenhythe this year, it's time to face the leaders of House Ghrazi themselves.

This is a new high level boss encounter that'll put your combat skills, coordination and ability to react under pressure to the test. At launch, you'll face the Blood Knights as a duo as you battle Lady Ghrazi and Lord Ghrazi together. Two opponents, each with their own attacks, mechanics and ways of making you sweat as you try to survive.

Next month we'll introduce the Solo encounter, giving those who prefer to take on the Blood Knights alone a chance to step into the fight!

And for those looking for the ultimate challenge? You'll be able to push the encounter even further through its Enrage system, with new milestones and bragging rights. Waiting for those capable of surviving its toughest challenges.

The Race to World First

Of course, a new boss means one thing...

The race is on!

When the Ghrazi Blood Knights arrive on 12th October, some of RuneScape's best PvMers will be racing to become the first duo in the world to defeat them.

Everyone will be going in blind. While you may have encountered the Blood Knights during the Havenhythe storyline, the mechanics you'll face in the full boss encounter are completely different, meaning more surprises and challenges as you race to win!

This time, we're handing the stage over to The RS Guy and PupRS, who'll be hosting the Race to World First live on our Official Twitch and following the action as teams discover the fight, work out its mechanics and push towards that first successful kill.

The first duo to defeat the Ghrazi Blood Knights won't just earn the bragging rights but they'll also unlock an exclusive World First title commemorating their victory!

How to Take Part

The Race to World First is being organised and produced by The RS Guy and his team, with PupRS joining him live from the studio to provide commentary and expert analysis as the action unfolds!

Here's everything you need to know before the race begins:

The race begins on 12th October at 12:00 Game Time (1pm UK Time), when the Ghrazi Blood Knights officially launch.
The boss will launch at 2,000% Enrage, with lower Enrage difficulties remaining locked until the first duo successfully defeats the Knights.
The livestream kicks off at 11:15 Game Time (12:15pm UK Time) on the official RuneScape Twitch channel, giving everyone a chance to get settled before the action begins.
Everyone is welcome to take part! Grab a partner, prepare your gear and jump into the encounter when it launches. The RS Guy and PupRS will be jumping between player instances, following attempts and commentating as teams learn the mechanics and race towards that first kill!
The first duo to defeat the Blood Knights at 2,000% Enrage will earn an exclusive, one-of-a-kind title, created by the RuneScape team. They'll be the only two players to ever own it! They'll also each receive a piece of Ghrazi Blood Knights concept art signed by the team themselves!

And the best part? The stream won't end until we've crowned our winners! Whether it takes hours or teams manage to surprise us with an early victory, we'll be there to follow the action all the way through.

This is your chance to make RuneScape history, so find your partner, get your supplies ready and prepare to take on the Blood Knights at their most challenging!

What's at Stake?

Taking down the Blood Knights won't be easy, but there are plenty of reasons to keep stepping back into the fight:

Get your hands on powerful new Tier 95 Legendary Crossbows.
Unlock the new Invoke Arisen Flesh Necromancy Incantation with its Codex.
Take home your very own (and considerably smaller) Lady Ghrazi Boss Pet.
Complete the collection log to unlock a unique collection log title.
Push the fight even further with Enrage titles to chase! 2,000% Enrage will be available for the Race to World First, with Normal mode (0%), 100% 500% and 1,000% Enrage unlocking once the race concludes. For those looking for an even greater challenge, 4,000% Enrage will arrive at a later date.
And for the first duo to bring down the Blood Knights, an exclusive World First title awaits.

Whether you're chasing new weapons, filling out the collection log or seeing just how far you can push the encounter, there's plenty to fight for.

Finish the Havenhythe storyline, find your partner, sort out your gear and supplies, and decide just how far you're willing to push things once the Enrage starts climbing.
