Combat Mastery Achievements & DXP - This Week In RuneScape

Listen up Project, War has a new task for you, Combat Mastery Achievements are here. This new achievement system will have you smashing your way through tasks as you challenge all the bosses of Gielinor.

Combat Mastery Achievements are split into 6 different tiers, Easy, Medium, Hard, Elite, Master and Grandmaster and offer rewards to improve your combat journey such as increased Marks of War, Free Attunements for War's portals and control of the rotations on bosses like Araxxor and Vorago. Not to mention the sick new Amulets and Auras for those who prove they are PvM masters!

Need some additional training to take on those combat challenges? Maybe you are getting ready for 110 Runecrafting? DXP is a fantastic time to train your skills and reach for your goals!

Double XP is a 10-day event where you have 48 Hours of Double XP to use at your leisure. You can pause the timer if you need to do other activities and don't want to lose out on that precious DXP time.

DXP starts Friday, February 21st until Monday, March 3rd, starting and ending at 12:00 PM Game Time. If you're heading to Runefest that weekend bring along your phone to get some gains while at the event!

Purchasable once from the Marketplace. Awards a Daily Bundle of items every day for 10 days. Your bundle can be collected from the marketplace each day. If you miss any days, don’t worry - you’ll be able to collect them when you next log in.

Each bundle can only be purchased once. Bundles are not available for Ironman accounts.

Combat Mastery Achievements

• Meta achievement requirements now have a tooltip denoting its description.
• Updated the font used within the meta list so that it is once again consistent with the rest of the UI.
• Completing a '200 kill streak' at Telos and Arch-Glacor will now be more accurately reflected within their boss' pet examines.
• Existing combat achievements have had eligibility and failure messaging added.
• Existing combat achievements will no longer trigger in practice and story mode encounters.
• A member of War's clan has arrived at War's Retreat to take on some of War's responsibilities.
• Vorago is no longer susceptible to Deathtouched Darts
• Vorago's 'Destroy Tank' ability no longer persists on the action bar after leaving the borehole.
• The Omens helm, torso, legs, feet and gloves have had their descriptions updated.
• Completing all achievements for Daredevil within a single attempt will now grant the 'Golden Daredevil' title.

Dev Note: Following Combat Modernisation, Wen Arrows saw an increase in power due to 'Icy Precision' interacting with special attacks. While we like this interaction, this resulted in a power increase that landed Ranged ahead of all other styles. To remedy this, we're tweaking these numbers to bring Ranged more in line with the other styles.

• Icy Precision: Damage and Hit chance per stack
• Threshold abilities: 3% -> 2%
• Ultimate abilities: 3% -> 2%
• Special abilities: 3% -> 2%
• Please note: The in-game tooltip will currently not reflect these number updates.

Monitoring

We are currently monitoring Big Game Hunter and some spawning issues, we have made some adjustments during the last week to combat these issues but please if you spawn in immovable or inaccessible areas during BGH please continue to report these cases via the in game tools and our social media channels.

It's time to train - but this time with extra foresight of your goals! Players will be able to use new powers to Reroll, Add Multipliers or even Freeze chests to let you choose your rewards.
